Hey everyone!
Figured I would ask this popular question, since it is always interesting to hear what people are listening to and attending!
I will start:
Technically the last concert I went to was the tonebase community concert! Was so awesome to hear and see all of the talented members of our community playing - can't wait for next month's Springtime Recital!

But more recently I went to see the Sequoia Symphony perform a concert consisting of
GALA FLAGELLO | VITALITY
PRICE | PIANO CONCERTO IN ONE MOVEMENT
BEETHOVEN | SYMPHONY NO. 3the pianist was Joshua Mhoon, conductor was Bruce Kiesling, and the concert was fantastic!
I haven't heard Beethoven's 3rd symphony in a while, so it was great to imagine how revolutionary it was for its time: the offbeats, syncopations, and dissonances!

On 2/19 I saw The Art of the Trio featuring 3 faculty of the SCSU Music Department. A great evening of Jazz improv on standards. Stolen Moments and Obsesion stood out for me

Ethan Chilton鈥檚 concert of his new music in Alhambra California.

In the last month working backwards:
1. I saw Back to the Future "In Concert" at my local Phil last weekend.
2. The incoming freshman concert at my kid's school. They put every kid from every band in the HS, plus all the potentially incoming MS kids from the two feeder schools in the middle of the gym and belted out the main theme How to Train Your Dragon. Over 200 kids! Fun!
3. The local Phil did a Chavez/Mendelssohn concert.
January was a bit of a drought for me, but I was at 5 concerts in December (two HS concerts for the kids, two concerts with the Phil, and my Wife and Daughter dragged me to a pop concert that I won't name out of shame).

Utopia Ontario perform at The Rex.... Beautifully moody stuff! Kevin Turcotte had a fantastic tone playing Flugel and Bb with Harmon.
