What exercises do you use to warm up?
Having a consistent warm-up routine is one of the best ways to feel good every day, make progress, and sound your best. What does your routine consist of right now? Which exercises work best? What areas of your warm-up might you like to improve or further develop? Feel free to ask questions here in the forums, too!

I am integrating more and more of the Tonebase warmup exercises including the Arban selections. I do it while using the Total Energy tuner sound app. I could use further development/improvement in buzzing and in consistently nailing the pitch on the app.

I'm trying to make a comeback from my high school days 46 years ago. I did not have private lessons then or a tutor. So my warm up has always been with variations.
1. Playing a few notes in the staff. Long tones. G, A, B, C
2. Slurred chromatics, 7 valve combo C to F# below the staff. (repeat many times)
3. Slurred chromatics C below to C in the staff. (Repeat several times.)
4. Scale (Concert B flat) quarter notes, Each note tongued 4 times per measure.
5. Continue scale with each note on eight notes for 4 beats per measure. Then sixteenth notes, double tongue.
6. Chromatics again from F# below to G above the staff. Couple of times. Chromatics up to A above the staff, one time.
7. Chromatics below the staff, and done.
I need to change it and do some lip bends. Start with lead pipe exercises.. I definitely need to watch the Tonebase warm up course.
I'm currently somewhere in the intermediate range of development. I did not play out of method books growing up. Now, I have a bunch.

Can't remember where I got it or who compiled it, but I use an "integrated warmup" which includes chromatic scales, Bend exercises, Chicowitz Flow Studies, Clarke exercises, lip slurs, "noodles", and Bail Lin exercises. Maybe 4 - 6 of each category.

I try to rotate warmup exercises every few days to keep from getting bored. I use exercises from Stamp, Cichowicz, Bai Lin, Sachs, Gekker and Schlossberg. There's also good stuff in Ethan's tonebase Warmup Routine, and the Boyde Hood Mouthpiece Warmup from tonebase's Kayla Solomon is helpful.
